Latvia recorded six new cases of COVID-19 on June 16, with the total number of cases rising to 1,104 on Wednesday.
Two fatalities were unfortunately recorded, taking the death toll to 30. The victims were both aged 80 to 85 with several chronic illnesses.
The Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) said 1,810 tests had been conducted during the previous 24-hour period.
In total 131,646 tests have been carried out since February 29.
So far 875 patients have recovered.
One patient has been hospitalized over the past 24 hours. 6 patients are in hospital, 5 of whom have moderate symptoms of the disease but 1 of whom is designated as being in a serious condition.
