Latvia recorded one new case of COVID-19 on June 29, the total rising to 1,117 on Monday. No further fatalities were confirmed, with the death toll remaining on 30. Higher than usual but harmless levels of radiation in the Baltic Sea region were detected last week, likely coming from a malfunctioning nuclear power plant in western Russia, according to a Dutch institute. Two more cases of COVID-19 detected in Latvia

Latvia recorded two more case of COVID-19 on May 25, increasing the total number of cases from 1,047 on Sunday to 1,049 on Monday. No more fatalities were recorded. The new figure was released by the Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) which said 721 tests had been conducted during the previous 24-hour period.
