On September 24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkēvičs met with representatives of the Belarusian opposition, according to a release from Foreign Ministry. Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis says his government controls the potential risks associated with Belarusian investments in the seaport of Klaipeda.  Lithuanian government has earlier this month greenlighted the investments in Klaipėda by the Belarusian fertilizer firm, Belaruskali, and Lithuanian national Igor Udovickij, who took part in funding Lithuania’s ruling party election campaign.
