STRATCOMCOE considers “influencer marketing” in online discussion

The Rīga-based NATO Strategic Communications Center of Excellence (STRATCOMCOE) has posted a new online video as part of a series of online discussions.

Titled “Influencer marketing – a legitimate communications channel?” it features Scott Guthrie, an independent influencer marketing consultant, conference speaker, guest university lecturer, and media commentator.

The discussion looks at the size of the influencer industry and its speed of growth, and attempts to define influencer marketing and correct misconceptions about the phenomenon, going beyond the notion of selling products to fans.
