To present topical issues of Latvian-Chinese economic cooperation to businessmen, as well as contribute to formation of new business contacts, officials have launched the Latvia-Ningbo Economic & Trade Cooperation Symposium, as reported by Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Latvian ministry’s state secretary Andrejs Pildegovičs mentioned in his speech «stable and constructive dialogue with Chine, which is based around mutual trust, active exchange of visits and growing trade». «Thanks to 16+1 format, intensive cooperation with China has formed in different fields and on different levels. The close contact shared by Latvia and Ningbo are proof of this,» said the state secretary.
Latvia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry notes: «Chinese businessmen were invited to look at Latvia as one of the most dynamic locations in Europe and develop mutually beneficial cooperation projects.» Among potential cooperation sectors Pildegovičs mentioned transit, aviation, tourism, technologies and innovations. The state secretary is confident that the 4th China – CEEC Investment and Trade Expo, which will be taking place in Ningbo in June will be the next step towards boosting economic cooperation.
