In Riga, Gertrude Street, a car sank into a hole on Tuesday evening, confirmed Ilze Dimante, spokeswoman for the Riga City Council Transport Department, on June 30.
She said, as soon as information had been received about the crashed car, all the operational services were sent to the site to assess the situation. The reasons for what happened are not known.
Dimante said the car would soon be evacuated and inspected.
She also added that she had no information about people being hurt.
On June 5, two cars already sank into cobblestone on Gertrude Street.
The collapse happened during hydraulic inspections of the heating network system, which took place throughout the right coast of Daugava.
