Poland uncovers Russian hybrid war networks

Poland has detained a Russian national suspected of working with accomplices to stimulate social tension with neighbouring Ukraine and neutralised two Russian hybrid war networks, the Polish Internal Security agency has stated.

British public broadcaster BBC reported on Thursday, May 17, that the spokesman Stanislaw Zaryn for the Polish Internal Security Agency noted to Radio Poland that the agency had information that Russia was «not only inspiring Polish citizens to take specific actions against Poland and in the interests of Russia, but also financing their activities».

Since Russia annexed Crimea from its neighbouring Ukraine, Poland has been one of the strongest critics of current Russian foreign policy, in particular Moscow’s aggression against Ukraine.
