Latvian Prime Minister apeared on the American media outlet Cable News Network (CNN) July 1, talking about Latvia’s widely-praised response to the COVID-19 pandemic and European Union plans for economic recovery.
He was interviewed by well-known journalist Richard Quest who begins by asking the question: “You are basically saying hang on, yes, we may have opened borders but think twice before travelling to a foreign country. Why is that?”
Latvian Prime Minister @krisjaniskarins says Europe needs to "invest wisely" and "stick together through this storm," as it welcomes back tourists and looks for a way forward on a #COVID19 relief package. "Any one country cannot weather it alone." pic.twitter.com/uLlsdwkwSX
