People in Lithuania urged to donate blood as stocks dwindle

Lithuania’s National Blood Centre has urged people to donate blood amid nationwide shortages.

Centres where people can donate blood operate in Lithuania’s five biggest cities:

34 Žolyno Street, Vilnius 34 and 9 Upės Street, Vilnius 13 Vytauto Street, Kaunas 28 Naikupės Street, Klaipėda 90 Daukanto Street, Šiauliai 75 Nemuno Street, Panevėžys

The procedures have been adapted to maintain coronavirus-protection measures.

According to the Health Ministry, men can donate blood six times and women four times per year.
