Musician in Russia put behind bars for violating performance ban

A Russian court has sent a popular rapper to 12 days in prison for holding a performance on a car following the receiving of a concert prohibition.

American news agency AP reported, that the Krasnodar court handed the verdict on Thursday, November 22, to Alexander Kuznetsov aka Husky, who is known for his songs mocking authorities and police brutality that have up to six million views on YouTube.

The 25-year-old musician had planned a concert on Wednesday, November 21. It was moved to another club, where the electricity was shut off and Husky’s fans moved outside in large numbers.

Videos posted on YouTube showed the rapper performing his verses on top of a car with the fans chanting in unison before being detained by police officers.
