Lithuania to help Bhutan produce facemasks

Lithuania has allocated 10,000 euros to support the production of facemasks in Bhutan, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

Lithuania’s Ambassador to India Julius Pranevičius on Wednesday signed an agreement with Zamin Friends Forever, an NGO in Bhutan.

“Under the plan, some 50,000 face mask will be produced and, first of all, distributed to the most vulnerable residents,” the foriegn ministry said in a statement.

With this project, Lithuania will contribute to the European effort to support Bhutan to tackle the spread of Covid-19, the ministry said.
