Lithuania filed humanitarian aid to Ukraine for fight against Covid-19

On May 14, Lithuania filed the humanitarian aid on the request of Ukraine – protection means necessary for the fight against Covid-19 as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania noted.

It was noted that the aid was filed within the Eastern Partnership. Armenia, Moldova and Georgia will also get it. The military aircrafts will deliver it. The aid will be transferred to Ukraine by land.

The ministry stated that over 52,000 shield protectors for the face were filed. They cost 100,000 euros. They were produced in Lithuania.

As we reported, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Austria’s President Alexander Van der Bellen and the Austrian government for efforts to help Ukrainians who experienced difficulties with evacuation.

Besides, the Council of the European Union made the decision to provide Ukraine with 1.2 billion Euros for overcoming the economic and social consequences of coronavirus.
