Estonian dolphin spotters find 500kg of hashish in Spain

Estonian-run tourist boat found boxes containing half a ton of hashish floating off the coast of Spain’s Tenerife.

Tourists aboard the Estonian sailboat Wesipruul spotted the packages on Friday, ERR News and BNS  quoted  the Estonian daily Postimees.

Spanish police questioned the Estonian captain, Kristo Koop, who notified the authorities as soon as the haul was located. He had not been approached by the law enforcement since, he told Postimees.

The Canary Islands are particularly attractive for smugglers from Africa, according to the Estonian daily.
