On Wednesday, Lithuania registered 26 new cases of Covid-19, according to the National Public Health Centre.
Eleven of them have been detected in Vilnius and nine in Kaunas districts. Another five cases have been confirmed in Klaipėda and Šiauliai districts.
Thirteen people had fallen ill after coming in contact with an infected person. The source of seven infections are unclear, and six cases have been contracted abroad.
Three cases diagnosed in Kaunas are connected to an outbreak at Adform Kiemelis venue in the Old Town. One person is an employee, and two others had been in contact with the worker. In total, seven cases are currently connected with the breakout at the venue.
Six cases confirmed on Wednesday are linked to the breakout at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vilnius.
As of Wednesday morning, 2,309 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in Lithuania. In all, 532 people are still ill with the virus.
