Eleven new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Lithuania over the past 24 hours, bringing the country’s total to 3,397, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday morning.
Four of the new cases are connected to an outbreak within the police force in Raseiniai, Kaunas County. This cluster has grown to 17 confirmed cases.
The circumstances surrounding three new infections are currently unclear.
In all, 1,202 are currently ill and 2,094 have recovered. Eighty-seven people have died of Covid-19 in the country so far, and another 14 coronavirus-infected patients have died of other causes.
Some 8,044 people are currently in isolation. The country has since June 1 registered 229 cases of coronavirus infection contracted abroad.
A total of 700,140 tests for Covid-19 have been carried out in Lithuania so far, including 4,619 over the past 24 hours.
