On May 1 through 11 Vice Minister of National Defence Edvinas Kerza is conducting a visit in the US where his meetings with representatives of the US Department of Defence and State Department, Congress and the Pennsylvania National Guard are planned. At the meetings Lithuania’s achievements in cyber security are presented and cooperation opportunities are discussed.
“We are opening one more page for cooperation as we include cyber security aspect into the entirety of cooperation with the Pennsylvania National Guard,” E. Kerza said at a meeting with Brigadier General Timothy J. Hilthy, Pennsylvania National Guard, on May 2.
According to Vice Minister, cooperation on cyber security with the Pennsylvania National Guard would include not only joint training events and exercises but also interaction to the end of joint work and staff exchange programs – all of that could be reflected in the developed regional Kaunas cyber security centre.
Vice Minister E. Kerza is conducting the visit in the United States with officials of the National Cyber Security Centre and MoD personnel responsible for cyber security. The visit schedule also includes meetings with members of US think-tanks and participation in discussion forums.
