Results of the Labour Force Survey conducted by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that in the third quarter of 2020 Latvia’s unemployment rate stood at 8.4 %.  Compared to the previous quarter, unemployment rate actually fell  by 0.2 percentage points, but during a year it increased by 2.4 percentage points. Latvia recorded 89 new cases of COVID-19 on November 16, according to the Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC), down on the previous day’s total of 316.
