Estonian government agrees to support Nordica with €30 million

The government agreed on Thursday to support Nordica’s share capital by €22 million and provide a loan of €8 million to the struggling airline. Thursday, October 15 brought 114 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Latvia, taking the total number of cases recorded past the 3,000 mark to 3,065. The Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) said 4,667 tests were conducted during the previous 24-hour period. In total 378,190 tests have been carried out since February 29. Lithuania’s defence budget next year should exceed the two-percent of GDP threshold called for by NATO, according to the country’s Defence Ministry. Lithuania reported 255 new coronavirus cases on Thursday morning, the sharpest daily increase since the beginning of the pandemic. Over a hundred infections were diagnosed in Vilnius. The Lithuanian government has decided to participate in the European Commission’s third contract with a pharmaceutical company for the supply of a Covid-19 vaccine.
