Wednesday, October 14 brought 102 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Latvia. In total 2,942 cases of coronavirus have now been recorded in the country. The Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) said 5,078 tests were conducted during the previous 24-hour period, the first time more than 5,000 tests have been carried out in a single day. Turkish Airlines plans resume flights between Vilnius and Istanbul, according to the carrier and Vilnius Airport. Lithuania confirmed 139 new coronavirus cases over Tuesday, the National Public Health Centre (NVSC) said, and three more people died of the disease.
