COVID-19: 68 new cases, one more death in Latvia

October 6 saw the confirmation of 68 new cases of COVID-19 in Latvia. In total 2,194 cases of coronavirus have now been recorded in Latvia. One more death was also recorded, the fatality toll rising to 40 as a result. The latest victim was aged 60 to 65. Some 12,980 people, or 0.54 percent of eligible voters, cast their ballots on Monday, the first day of early voting in the Lithuanian general election. Estonia: Domestic tourists outnumbered foreign tourists again

In August, 331,000 tourists stayed in Estonian accommodation establishments, data released by Statistics Estonia shows. Their total number of nights was 591,000 but compared to August 2019, the number of tourists dropped by a third. Eighty-one new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Lithuania over Monday, according to the National Public Health Centre (NVSC).
