Piņķi outlet village first of its kind in Baltics

COVID-19 case total for Latvia increases to 1,307

Officials updated Latvia’s COVID-19 statistics August 13 with four new cases confirmed. Now the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic stands at 1,307 on Thursday. No additional deaths were recorded, with the fatality toll remaining at 32. The Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) said 2,071 tests had been conducted during the previous 24-hour period.  In total 220,827 tests have been carried out since February 29. So far 1,078 patients have recovered from infection.…

Students complain about lack of state support

Some students have expressed their disappointment with state support in financial issues, 10% considering leaving studies at the moment, Latvian Radio reported August 13.
