Five confirmed new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Latvia on August 2, with the total number since the start of the pandemic rising to 1,243 on Sunday. No additional deaths were recorded with the fatality toll standing at 32. The Disease Prevention and Control Center (SPKC) said 1,354 tests had been conducted during the previous 24-hour period. Thirteen new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Lithuania over Thursday, the National Public Health Centre (NVSC) said on Friday. Two of the new cases are linked to infections abroad. Seventeen new coronavirus cases were reported in Lithuania on Sunday, in addition to 18 infections on Saturday.
