More US troops in Poland will not come at Germany’s expense, says Polish PM

Vilnius to turn into open-air art gallery

To help artists affected by the coronavirus pandemic, Lithuanian capital Vilnius will turn into an open-air gallery. The “Roofless Art” initiative invites 100 artists to exhibit their works on billboards all across the city centre, said the press release by Vilnius municipality. On Monday, a United States B-52 strategic bomber flew low over Tallinn. Sigrid Pukk, spokesperson for the Estonian Air Force said: “Today, a United States bomber B-52 flew over Estonian airspace. Number of job vacancies dropped by 35.5 % in the first quarter

Data of the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that at the end of first quarter of 2020 there were 18.5 thousand job vacancies in Latvia, which is 10.2 thousand vacancies or 35.5 % less than in the first quarter of 2019. Seven new coronavirus cases were reported on Saturday and five more on Sunday morning, bringing the total to 1,768 in Lithuania. Five new coronavirus cases were reported by Lithuania’s National Public Health Centre on Monday morning. In all, the country has confirmed 1,773 Covid-19 infections. However, only 258 are currently considered active cases, while 1,429 people have recovered. One person died from Covid-19 on Sunday, the centre said. The existing ban for residents of Sweden, Portugal and the United Kingdom to come to Lithuania will remain in place this week.
