Lithuanian scientists from Kaunas Technology University (KTU) may have found an exercise solution to treat chronic back pain, according to the univeristy’s press release published at Emerging Europe. After carrying out tests on 70 volunteers, the researchers claim that the exercise programme is not only efficient in diminishing non-specific lower back pain, but that its effects last three times longer than those of a standard muscle strengthening exercise programme. Coronavirus update: Lithuania confirms 11 new cases

Eleven people were diagnosed with Covid-19 in Lithuania over Friday, according to the National Public Health Centre. In all, the country has so far confirmed 1,534 coronavirus cases. COVID-19 case total for Latvia increases to 997

Latvia recorded 27 more cases of COVID-19 on May 16, increasing the total number of cases from 970 on Friday to 997 in Saturday. Of that number, 21 cases originated at a single social care home in Mārsnēni, in the north of the country, with 17 residents and 4 staff affected.
