UK media regulator fines Latvian Russian-language TV channel

UK communications regulator Ofcom fined Baltic Media Alliance 20,000 pounds (23,000 euros) after receiving a complaint from the Latvian National Electronic Mass Media Council (NEPLP) regarding violations on the NTV Mir Baltic television channel broadcast by the company, according to the regulator on February 17. Baltic, US observers fly over military sites in Belarus and Russia

Personnel from the US, Estonia and Lithuania observed military infrastructure in Russia and Belarus under the Open Skies Treaty. Lithuania’s largest city Kaunas is installing CCTV systems produced by China’s Hikvision banned in the US.
