Lithuania’s Pardon Commission decided on its recommendations to President Gitanas Nausėda on Wednesday, a day after an amendment detailing the president’s right to pardon convicts in espionage cases took effect.  “The president will issue a decree to pardon [certain persons] shortly,” Antanas Bubnelis, Nausėda’s spokesman, told BNS after the commission’s meeting at the Presidential Palace. lrt.lt
